Java Script
Java Script is an especially popular scripting language that has a high level of use in the web development industry particularly in the creation of plug-ins and additional content which is to be imbedded into websites. It is also known for being fairly easy for amateurs and people who have minimal programming experience to use. Java script is not to be confused with the Java programming language with which Java script has little in common with aside from the fact that both are derived from similar origins.
Java script was first introduced in 1995 when it was released packaged together with a version of the now ultimately obsolete Netscape web browsing and it has remained popular since then; it is mainly used to create functions or events in a webpage, an example of an occurrence which would likely have been created through the use of Java script would be advertising pop up windows. However there are also applications for Java script outside of web development too.
Java script has continued to have improvements made on it and development has continued consistently since its first inception. There also exists a Microsoft branded variation on Java script which is called Jscript, conveniently avoiding any issues that may have arisen concerning the trade mark Java script.
